Saturday, November 5, 2011 Pie Walk Things to know about this walk: 1. Bring a pie (or two) to share with other walkers. Leftovers will be taken to a shelter. 2. Coffee, hot tea and hot chocolate are provided. 3. Allow time to enjoy pie and visit with others after the walk. Blair Nebraska        5K and 10K Start Location Faith Covenant Church, 8333 Fort Street Omaha, Nebraska Start/Finish Times Start between 9 am and noon. Off trail by 3:00 pm Event will be held regardless of weather conditions. No refunds will be given. Award "A" award is a patch, one of seven depicting western trails. Registration Costs Award/IVV Credit $6.00 IVV Credit Only $3.00 Fun Walker (no credit) $1.50 You may pre-register no later than October 25th. No refunds. Payment should be made by check payable to: NWFT PO BOX 8147 OMAHA NE 68108-8147 Eligibility All ages are welcome. Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Trail Rating/Description 5km (3.1 miles) and 10km (6.2 miles) trails will be available. Walk is rated 2. Trail will be on city sidewalks and trails. Pets Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash and under control. Pets are not allowed in buildings. Service animals are welcome anywhere, of course. Please be prepared to meet the needs of your companion. Directions Directions to Start/Finish Point: From I-680 take Fort Street exit (exit # 5). Turn east to Faith Covenant Church on your right- just east of 84th Street. Special Programs Yet to be determined . . . Stipulations With registration for this event, the participant accepts the guidelines for AVA Volkssport events, agrees to observe the principles of good sportsmanship, and will not litter. At the start of each walk each person must obtain a Start Card (with the exception mentioned above) which must be carried throughout the walk and must be filled out with the participants's name and address. The card is to be validated at the Control Point(s). Walkers missing a control point may be refused credit. All Start Cards are the property of the Nebraska Wanderfreunde Trailblazers and should be turned in at the completion of the walk.
